Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ritely.com?

In a nutshell, we are a conservative response to a lot of the unwholesome content that is found on the Internet. I am referring not just to the seamier content that is on the Internet, but also to the comments on blogs and news articles that are often a reflection of secular liberal values held by many who are on the Internet. Ritely.com is a community for conservatives to share and discuss things that are important to us.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. (Ecclesiastes 10:2)

What are the political leanings of Ritely.com?

We are coming mainly from a Christian conservative background, but we welcome everyone from moderates to Tea Party conservatives to libertarians. As long as you are respectful to others, and are sensitive to the fact that this is a site by Conservatives and for Conservatives, you are welcome to be part of our community.

How does the article sorting work?

This is one of the best features of Ritely.com. We are using a logarithmic algorithm that weighs not only how many votes a story gets, but how old the story and the votes are. It is a highly granular algorithm, and takes into account the preferences of the community in deciding which of hundreds of daily stories make it to the top.
